DESCRIPTION/PLOT
One day, the world was enveloped by a mysterious blinding light. The destruction it caused was terrible, even as the light itself was sublime in its beauty, and it made those who witnessed the awesome display think of the unrestrained rage and fury of the divine.
The central continent, from where the light is believed to have originated from, went silent, while at the same time demons began to spread throughout the world like a plague. Amongst the survivors of the catastrophe, that fateful day became known as the "Day of Light."
Sometime after the events of the Day of Light, a young man by the name of Weiss, who had lost all memory of himself, encounters an enigmatic woman named Eva, who introduces herself as an Agent of the Divine. It is from her that Weiss learns that he has committed the grievous sin of deicide, and that in order for him to atone for his crime he is to become the "Vessel" in which the power of the divinity he had slaughtered will be stored. For it will be that power that will be used to resurrect the one whose life he stole.
For those who betray the divine will pay for their sins in the space which separates salvation and damnation, as will their progeny...

Overview
record of agarest war is one of the few japanese RPG game which is lucky enough to be brought overseas by AKSYS games, or Ghostlight. this game has their own "appeal" which distinct them from any other J-RPG which is the Soul Breed System (will be explained later) and also this game is quite known for its unforgiving difficulties even though it's not as hardcore as Demon, and Dark Souls. This game have some unique battle system which some people says it was taken from the Valkyrie Profile series, even though its quite different. this game also come in limited edition which contain some "BLOW UP" doll, "HAND TOWEL", and "ART BOOK", if you guys realize I use the caps lock on purpose (I will tell you the reason later)
Story
The story in record of agarest war is quite good, I found myself enjoying how the story goes, it makes me didnt stop playing it even though I already played it for about 10 hours non stop. but in the middle of the game you will find the story quite plain, because you will be "doing the same thing" three times (if you played the game you will understand what is the meaning of this sentence). In this game the story divided into three generation, and at the end of generation you will choose on of the heroine as your bride and ehm..."make" a baby... and this baby will be your next protagonist on the next generation, and thats what we call as "SOUL BREED". personally I love this soul breed thing, it gives you a feeling of accomplishment, and to make thing a lot better on the next generation some character will looks older, and if you choose a diferent spouse you will have a different protagonist for the next generation... EPIC!!!

Character
about the character, on the art side its epicly well drawn by the artis.. in short it's fap-able
[the score or scale of art: Un-fap-able< Shitty< Meh< Decent< Great< Awesome< Fap-able ] yup I give this game my highest score for it's well drawn character. But sadly the personality of each character is quite lacking in this game, even some of them didnt do their "jobs" right, like jainus on the first generation, he is supposed to be a "comic relief" or "Funny man" but he didn't make me smile at all, and all of his joke is very very lame, and the main character for the first generation, he is supposed to be a "cool" character, but to me he's like an outcast who lost his reason to live, and to make thing worse, the main character only nice to Kid (PEDO DETECTED). one more bad thing about the character is how they interact to each other, its feel like watching some low class soap opera, or sinetron..yeah sinetron.. if you dont know what sinetron is.. you better not search for it!! trust me... your curiosity will kill you

Graphic/ART
the graph in this game is very "Blargh"it makes you feel like you are playing some playstation X game.. the in game sprite and the game background is very bad, its un-fap-able, it gives you a feeling that this game have very low budget for its graphic. but one positive thing in this game is it has very convincing trailer, it's involving two girls singing and dancing in HD and well animated, and also the in game video and CG is enjoyable, especially the CG... ohhh talking about the CG.. the CG in this game is quite "misleading" if you know what I mean...

VA & Soundtract
this game has japanese VA, so I didnt have any complain about the VA, and about the soundtract this game has an awesome soundtract, I really like the opening and some battle scene music, I wish this game came with a soundtract cd... *sob*
Battle System & Game System
the battle system in this game is one of the reason why I keep on playing this game other than the fappable character and awesome storyline. it's very fun to do, and fast-paced. some said that it's a rip of from the valkyrie profile series, it's quite true this game has some similarity, but the developer add more interesting thing such as combination, original skill and Ultimate attack to make the battle a lot fun. but sadly the battle system tutorial is very bad at explaining thing...at first I dont understand how to do the combination attack, and my party ended up gangraped by some orc, after searching for some tutorial.. I actually understand how the battle system works.. after setting some combination attack on the menu screen the battle become a lot easier, so combination attack is one important thing dont underestimate it. And now about the game system, usually PS3 game will install some it's data on your PS3 hard disc, but sadly this game didnt, as the result this game has one long loading segment on the beggining, and crappy lag period on your first ten minute of the game..
Extra
as I already mentioned above, this game has a limited edition which contain "BLOW UP" doll, "HAND TOWEL", and "ART BOOK"which is quite weird (for me). the first one is the art book, the previous game give you some informative guide book which makes your game a lot easier, but in this installment you will get the "ART BOOK" which more likely like a "porn book". Inside it you will read some interview with the heroine of the game about thing that you didnt care about and some "nearly naked" pic of the heroine, trust me you will laugh a lot while "reading" your porn.. errr.. your art book...it's an art right?? oh yeah.. if you ask me about the art in the art book the answer is fap-able... so thats why AKSYS give you some "HAND TOWEL"... what a caring game publisher ....

oh yeah.. I forgot.. this game has some Bath, and massaging mini game...
the bath mini game require you to adjust the temperature of the bath so the steam will fade and you can see the character taking a bath... literally

OVERALL
Record of agarest war 2 is a fun game, but sadly it's only fun for some people, and as a J-RPG lover I will recommend this game to another gamer but not all of them will enjoy this game.. so as an overall I would give this game 7/10 score........
its a good game... but it still have some noticeable flaws
